Housekeeping Cutie

I actually managed to make an alliteration in the title. Well, I didn't know what I wanted to title this, and when in down, alliteration works.

I wanted something bright and cheery for this one. It's been a long, LONG winter again. Also, I've just been in a horrendous mood for weeks. I had a very severe depressed period for about the last six weeks or so. But I finally started cleaning up the house again, and getting back into hobbies, that's usually a good sign.

This is actually an idea I had around the first of the year, and I was part of a series of thematically similar drawings I had in mind. I was gonna make a week's worth and once I finished them, put one up each day for a week. Problem is I couldn't think of seven different things to show! And again, I wasn't exactly in a creative mood. So if I make a couple more in the near future involving a girl doing some kind of around the house stuff in her undies, well, that was probably a leftover idea that I decided to repurpose.

So, basically, what I'm saying here is it is the role of women to do housework for men and look pretty while they do it-- I'm KIDDING! If that was the subtext you got from this, go back to tumblr! ^_^

The idea here is she's just listening to some music while she's cleaning up and getting way into it, kinda singing along and moving to it a bit. Basically, something we've all done when we thought no one was watching: admit it! She's doing it in her underwear because. . . I dunno, she didn't wanna get her clothes all dusty-- SHUT UP, is my point! It's because I thought she'd look cute.

I went with white because I just had it set to white until I decided on a color, but eventually realized it fit the setting the best, with the sky blue wall and the white windowsill and vertical blinds, and it being so sunny and clear outdoors. And I think white just adds to the cuteness.

So, as the last of this damn winter finally runs its course, hopefully something like this is cheery enough to offset so much of the cold and grey that has been so prevalent the last several months!
