92, but NOT Muggy

Oh, this POOR girl! I depicted her in such misery a few years ago here, and again last year here. They were meant to be a reflection to how much I was particularly disliking summer at each moment. Michigan gets a reputation for nasty winters-- and we DO get dumped on here along Lake Michigan, look up "lake effect snow" some time. Less known is how hot and steamy the SUMMERS can be. Not, like, Miami bad, but still fairly hot and the dewpoints tend to climb and I just DIE in that kind of weather. So, not a fan of summer normally.

THIS YEAR, on the other hand, has been quite nice so far. Thanks to that unusually harsh winter this year, the Great Lakes froze over and it took until nearly the end of spring for all the ice to thaw, so the water has been cooler than normal, and the SUMMER has been cooler than normal and I've been LOVING IT. And my mood has just been better. In those previous years I was probably depressed out of my mind, but for the last several months I've felt much better. My biggest complaint is that I've been BORED lately, I have more downtime than I know what to do with just now-- which is you may have noticed an increase in productivity from me lately.

For all those reasons, I thought I'd show summer in a POSITIVE way, with blue skies and green flora. Since today and tomorrow were calling for it to be a bit hot, but not too humid, I thought I'd give a happy ending to my poor young lady who we last saw gasping for air on her livingroom floor. When it's a DRIER heat, it's so much easier to get comfortable and enjoy the day anyway, I opted for the topless bathing suit to stay with the previous theme, but also because I wanted something this revealing. Two years ago I did wintery nude piece, last year I did an autumnal one, I thought this year I'd do one set in the summer, and the chance came up to give a good setting and theme for it.
